Who Wore the Purple Suit Best?

The Joker has been around for just about as long as Batman and like Batman has worn many suits. For our purposes, we are going to look at TV shows, movies, and the Arkham video game series. If there's a Joker that we missed let us know!

7. Mark Hamill (Batman: The Animated Series)

Mark Hamill is the definitive voice of the Joker, there is no doubt about that. We love this Joker, especially since it's Hamill's first outing as the Clown Prince of Crime.

6. Kevin Michael Richardson (The Batman)

2004 brought a new take on Batman and his villains. The Joker in this show was extremely agile and had a deep voice. An interesting spin on our favorite clown.

5. Cesar Romero (Batman)

Everyone knows this Joker whether they are a Batman fan or not. Cesar Romero is iconic and so is his Joker suit; right down to his mustache visible through the make up!

4. Heath Ledger (The Dark Knight)

When Heath Ledger was cast as the Joker there was heavy backlash from fans. After the movie was released everyone was in love with Ledger's Joker. It's said that he designed the make up himself. The iconic Joker to most fans.

3. Jared Leto (Suicide Squad)

The appearance of Jared Leto's upcoming Joker has faced much controversy. It's definitely a modern vision of the Joker. While some of the tattoos seem unnecessary, namely the "Damaged" across his forehead, it is still a cool, modern Joker. We are interested to see his performance.

2. Mark Hamill (Batman: Arkham)

Mark Hamill is at Joker-peak in the Arkham series games. The character design is exactly everything you can want from a Joker suit.

1. Jack Nicholson (Batman)

Jack Nicholson was the perfect on-screen Joker. His performance holds up, even today. He was just the right amount of crazy, funny, and dark. His origin is comically accurate and his suit is excellent. No one has yet to beat Nicholson.
