BAT Co.'s Ranking of Every Bat-suit EVER!

Batman has been around for a long time and therefore has had many different suits. For the purpose of this list, we are going to look at movies, TV shows, and the Arkham video games. Enjoy!

13. 1943-49 Lewis Wilson/Robert Lowery (Batman/Batman and Robin)

This Batman, played by Lewis Wilson in 1943 and by Robert Lowery in 1949. This suit looks fine, considering the year it was made. However, it looks like a child's Halloween costume.

12. 1997 George Clooney (Batman & Robin)

In 1997, the Batman franchise died. Joel Schumacher put out a borderline porno-spoof of Batman. Bat-nips and enlarged Bat-codpieces are far too evident in this film. The only reason this suit scores higher than the last is because we can look at it and know that at least a little bit of effort was put into this suit.

11. 2005 Christian Bale (Batman Begins)

After being effectively killed in 1997, Christopher Nolan revived the Batman franchise with Batman Begins. Christian Bale stars as the Caped Crusader in this film. While the suit is far better than Clooney's, it's still not the best. Batman can't turn his head and the body suit looks rubbery and kind of fat.

10. 1995 Val Kilmer (Batman Forever)

Val Kilmer may not be the chiseled stud that he used to be, he wasn't the worst Batman. His suit isn't the worst either. While there are Bat-nips on this suit, it is still a visually interesting suit. The symbol is a cool design and Kilmer clearly put some muscle on for this film.

9. 2013 Roger Craig Smith (Batman: Arkham Origins)

The Arkham series is an amazing gaming experience. The combat is fun and easy to learn and the story's are well written. Arkham Origins is the prequel made by another company. While, it's not terrible, it's not as good as the regular series. The suit is pretty cool though, as a prototype to the suit worn throughout the rest of the series, it serves it's purpose.

8. 2004 Rino Romano (The Batman)

This animated show from 2004 is a slightly different take on the story of Batman. He is three years into his Batman career and he is meeting all of his famous villains for the very first time. The suit is modern version of the suit from The Animated Series.

7. 1992 Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series)

Often cited as the definitive voice of Batman, Kevin Conroy "wears" this suit. It's a true-to-the-comics depiction of the suit and it holds up today.

6. 1960's Adam West (Batman)

There might be some disagreeing on this suit's placing. Adam West was the definitive on-screen Batman. It was overflowing with camp and general cheesy-ness. The acting doesn't necessarily hold up today, but it is fun. The suit is an iconic sight and can be recognized by anybody, fan or not.

5. 2008-12 Christian Bale (The Dark Knight/The Dark Knight Rises)

The sequel to Christopher Nolan's revival of Batman see Batman taking on a new suit. He has more room to move and is finally able to turn his head. While it's still not the best suit, it is a really good suit. It would be made better is the symbol was more visible.

4. 2009-11 Kevin Conroy (Batman: Arkham Asylum/Batman: Arkham City)

Kevin Conroy "dons" the cowl yet again for the first outing in the Arkham series. This suit is phenomenal. The ears are perfect length and the body is huge. Batman's fighting style in this game is exactly what we want to see in a film (and finally did in Batman v Superman). There is nothing that we would change about this suit.

3. 1989-92 Michael Keaton (Batman/Batman Returns)

When Michael Keaton was cast as the Caped Crusader he was under heavy fire. How could a comedy actor play Batman? Well, play Batman he did. Keaton killed it in the roll and looked damn good doing it. The symbol is excellent and the cowl holds Keaton's face well. Our only complaint is that Batman is not able to turn his head...at all.

2. 2015 Kevin Conroy (Batman: Arkham Knight)

Kevin Conroy returns to Batman yet again. While we haven't played Arkham Knight yet, the suit is gorgeous. The Arkham Asylum/City suit is made even better with armored plating and cowl. Batman really is at his peak here.

1. 2016 Ben Affleck (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice)

Two years ago, the world was given some of the most tragic news: Ben Affleck was going to be the next Batman. After a trailer showing Affleck in the suit was released, a lot of flak died away and by the time the film released there were no more haters. While the film could've had more story and less content, Ben Affleck dominated the role. He is the definitive on-screen Batman. We finally have a gray and black suit on film for the first time since 1966. The logo is awesome and the cowl is perfect.
